Is it possible to bring a pet (dog / cat) to the chalets?

Yes, most of our chalets also welcome pets for a fee. However, this is not possible in our higher category Wooden House Plus chalets. Please let us know in advance!

I am food sensitive, can they offer special food?

Our kitchen and staff are prepared to deal with a variety of diets and food sensitivities, be it vegetarian or vegan, or lactose, milk, gluten sensitivities.

I am travelling with a baby, can they provide a cot, baby bath and baby high chair?

As a family-friendly accommodation, we are also equipped with a baby cot, baby bath and high chair! Please indicate your need when booking!

Is a deposit required to make a reservation?

Due to the pandemic situation, it is sufficient to pay the advance by the 7th day before arrival. The deposit is 50% of the total accommodation fee. The advance payment can be made by online credit card payment, bank transfer, credit card details or SZÉP card payment.

When do I become a regular customer?

You will become a regular customer on your 3rd stay! Then you are entitled to the 5% discount that will be deducted from your final account. We provide the discount only from our own services! When booking, please indicate your entitlement to the discount to our sales colleague!

If I cancel my reservation, will I get my deposit back?

The accommodation can be cancelled free of charge until the 14th day before arrival. Thereafter, we will charge a 50% penalty fee until the 7th day prior to arrival, and a full 100% penalty fee within 7 days prior to arrival.

I am a returnee and would like to park my vehicle / set up my tent on a standard caravan / tent site. Possible?

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee, as our guests book the plots in the order of arrival, according to everyone's own preference. Due to the size of the area, we are unable to control the exact location of our guests.

Is parking free?

No, parking for cars is 700 HUF per night, while for buses 2000 HUF / night.

Is there wifi?

Due to the large size of the area, we have several routers, so we have a wi-fi signal. The name and password of the strongest sign of the place of residence can be found in the Guest Information Booklet in the chalets. The strongest wi-fi signal available in other areas of the campsite should ask at reception!

What other services are available at Mátra Kemping? Are these free for campsite guests?

In the area of Mátra Camping Sástó there are numerous services available to our guests, mostly for a fee: restaurant, buffet, salt cave, wellness department, games room, wine cellar, event and conference rooms, animation classes (craft classes, babysitting), built-in oven and fireplace rental, playground, and equipment for leisure games (football, badminton, ping-pong, etc.) can also be rented. I am disabled. Is the accommodation accessible for me?

The 4-star Mátra Kemping Sástó is fully accessible for disabled people. We have 1 barrier-free wooden house, the water blocks and communal kitchens belonging to the campsite are accessible, and the communal areas of the campsite (restaurant, reception, toilets) are also accessible.

Can the chalets be heated?

No, our wooden houses are not winterized, so they can typically only be booked from spring to autumn. Mobile radiators can be requested, however, in early spring and late autumn (depending on the weather) we cannot guarantee maximum comfort, so we recommend this at your own risk.
